Hi, I’m Alycia.

I’m glad you’re here! I’m a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, accidental entrepreneur, and dog parent. As a lifelong athlete, my path to strength & conditioning wasn’t exactly direct, but I see now that it was inevitable.

After obtaining my M.S. in Sports Medicine at Lund University in Sweden, I decided to pursue collegiate strength & conditioning. This led me to earn a second M.S. in Sport Psychology at the University of Kentucky. I had the opportunity to learn and refine the craft of strength & conditioning while coaching athletes ranging from hopeful collegiate walk-ons, to future and current Olympians.

Fate intervened in 2019 and I left the collegiate space in pursuit of online coaching – but I eventually returned to in-person training when an opportunity to work with the general population, high school athletes and military personnel came my way.

After plenty of missteps, sleepless nights, and soul searching, the concepts of Alycia Carrillo Fitness LLC was born.

In short, I’m a regular person who likes to train hard, play hard, and have tough, but important conversations. When I’m not wearing my metaphorical coaching/entrepreneur hat, you might find me sipping on a cocktail, reading a book, snacking on Hot Cheetos or wallowing in crippling devastation over the loss of my sporting team.
